After two very disruptive years it was great to reconnect with industry peers at the Nursery Trade Day at Claudelands Event Centre in Hamilton. The room was electric with people sharing product launches and general musings about plants, garden centres, landscape supplies, hort tech, and nursery automation. We reckon visitor numbers must have hit a new record – there was no lull, it was steady all day.
One of the biggest outtakes for us was how much we had missed face-to-face contact at events such as these. There is something special about catching up with customers and gaining a clearer understanding of how business is going for all.
PrimeHort has a broad product offering, so we took the chance to spread out over seven stands to really capture how we can help maximise crop yields or support garden retailing success.
New retail bench systems proved very popular, with many visitors keen to better utilise the floor space in their garden centres.
The team were also busy chatting about the latest advances in nursery automation, including greenhouse climate control and Fibercell paper pot technology. We even brought in an awesome Mobile Bagger that is towable by Ute or 4×4. This innovative machine comes with a 2m3 hopper and can fill up to 170 bags per hour. It was a great conversation starter as many considered the benefits for their plant nursery business.
PrimeHort Catalogues were popular and so were our seasonal specials. Other sought-after items included, Smartgro Fabric Pots, Fertilpot Propagation products, Dismiss Pre-emergent Herbicide, NEW Model Max Tapener, Smartgro Retail Pack Fertiliser and the latest Decorative Pots.
If you attended, we hope you enjoyed our giveaways of PrimeHort rugby balls and heavy-duty contractor gloves. Here are a few pics from the day and do reach out if you would like any information on the products and innovative solutions we displayed.
See you in 2023 for another fantastic day out!
