We are very excited to announce that as of late September 2025 we have acquired horticultural specialist Transplant Systems Australia, and will continue the company’s 40-year legacy of innovation and service to growers across Australia, NZ and beyond.
For more than 40 years, Transplant Systems has stood for innovation and trust for its customers. With a focus on helping nurseries grow healthier plants while reducing labour and improving productivity – some of their key milestones included:
- Automating forestry nurseries– moving from manual plant-handling to semi-automated workflows, trialled with the Forest Research Institute in Rotorua and Hancock’s nursery in Victoria.
- Introducing semi-automation to commercial vegetable growers– partnering with leading nurseries to roll out semi and fully-automated systems using the 12×12 square cell tray, now adopted nationally.
- Developing automatic planting machines– with the help of a federal R&D grant, launched tray-feeding cassettes using the 144-cell and 256-cell trays. Its first automatic 144-cell tray machine was exported to the UK.
- Expanding internationally– establishing a presence in the Netherlands to serve growers in Holland and Germany.
What does it mean for our customers?
Now, the success of Transplant Systems continues with our team at the helm! And while its business as usual, our range of nursery trays just got a whole lot wider for you.
The introduction of the Transplant Systems suite of forestry and vegetable seedling tray moulds is an excellent opportunity to review your trays and weigh up the merits of the TS-series, many of which last upwards of 20 years with correct use and care.
“These trays are well-regarded in the industry, the quality is excellent, and they work seamlessly with our suite of DaRos nursery automation,”
adds Ernie Wearmouth.
All of the new trays are available right now, so get in touch to ask for a sample, or shop them directly here: Transplant Systems. We look forward to seeing these new trays in action in your nurseries and we are here to guide you on the right choices along the way – so do not hesitate to contact us for advice.
Here’s cheers to maximising your crop yields with a few more top-notch products!
