Sustainability is at the heart of this new store – from well-managed building materials to solar panels which provide the entire daytime energy for the store, plus irrigation systems that incorporate water reuse. There is anew plastic recycling initiative and even the store forklift is electric!
To match the impressive architecture, Kings Stonefields have also set the bar high for displaying their products in an innovative manner. Their aim is to create a new standard for plant shopping that inspires customers throughout their journey.
Calling on PrimeHort’s services, their brief asked fora modern and customised approach to retail display, where unused floor space would be minimised and products would be easily accessible for shoppers. Additionally, all displays should be functional –simple to move and change out.
The result is a strategic store layout that is motivating customers to explore the entire store (leading to additional sales). Working in a fresh and fun environment is keeping team morale high, the ebb and flood self-watering trays have reduced staff labour and the benches are quick to swap out and reconfigure. Tiered shelving also maximises the usable floor space.
